Jan. 21, 2007 Kaleila'a turns 1. She was one lucky girl, she got to celebrate her birthday twice. Once at home with the Frandsen clan, and then again the next day with teh Ursua gang. She got to eat a lot of cake!
Jordyn LeiAnn Hala'ikamau'ea'ano'ai'oli July 18, 2008 7lb. 14 oz. 19 in. We went in Friday morning because I was schedualed for an induction, which turned out to be a good thing. And by the looks of this picture I don't think I needed to wait any long. HAHA This time it was just me and Kaai. Last time it was a total family affair but I liked this better. Just me and him, and he was good support, silent but there. That was all I needed this time. Hala'i came with 5 hours of me being induced and only 20 minutes of pushing THANK GOODNESS!! She came with a good cry and it was a beautiful sound. Once she was clean and wrapped up tight she was calm and quite. In the hospital this was about as close as Kalei would get to her. She wasn't sure what to do around Hala'i and she really didn't want to touch her. Being Home... Kalei has warmed up to her little sister and like being my helper and giving her her binki when she starts to cry. She was happy
We were finally able to bless Hala'i. It only took 4 months to get the grandparents here to be part of the circle, but with a little bit of faith and a good prayer it all fell into place. I have to say Thank you to my mom and dad for taking a two day journey to Utah special to make it happen. Thanks to my father-in-law for also taking the time to come up for two days just to be part of the circle. Thanks to Uncle Keli'i and Uncle Kendall and Fam for sharing that special moment with our family, and for sharing their preisthood with us. But mostly Thank you to my husband for keeping himself worthy to excersise his preisthood in the way that the Lord intended. A fathers blessing is always the most special. The Little Girl of the Hour... Always gotta have something in her mouth. The circle... We've been spending a lot of time at our friends the Crofts house and they have two really well behaved, mellow dogs. Well Kalei just loves them and think they are so much fun. So we have been trying to decide if we should get a dog for her so she has a new partner in crime when we are home. We looked online for weeks just to see what we could find. "KSL" news website turned up a few goood prospects but today we finally found one that looked good enough to check out. We drove out to Grantsville way out country side and found a nice rancher guy who had some mixed lab/boarder collie pups about 6 weeks old. Kalei thought they were fun so we picked one out of the 5 girls and she licked Kaai and that was it, we were sold. Kalei was sad to leave the rest of the pups but we finally got her to say goodbye and on the drive home the two got comfortable with eachother. As we drove we asked her what she wanted to name her new puppy, and randomly she saw an inflatable bear on the side
