1st time at the Zoo

The days have finally gotten nice enough to take some outdoor field trips. Our first was to the zoo. Kalei and I got to go with my good friend Jessie and a few of her friends and their little ones. Kalei was happy to make new friends. She was also excited to be out of the house. Although we were there to see the animals the hightlight of the day was the water ball at the enterence of the zoo.
We spent the first 10 minutes an the last 10 minutes just letting the keiki's enjoy the water. It was when they started to try to climb in that we had to say it was time to go.
The animals at the zoo were kinda sleepy and most were just kinda hanging out but the kids were still excited to see them. They were still pretty captivated for most of the day.
Kalie thought the elephants were pretty cool. I think cause they were so big.
Trying to catch the big guy and smile at the same time. Kinda worked.
The kids were pretty excited to see such big animals, and to be out of their strollers.
Kalei was really excited to see the bear. She thought it was neat that it kept going in and out of its hole, plus it was alot bigger then her stuffed one.
She kept telling me this was the ducky. Probably cause it was in the water. I let her go cause it is close enough.
All-in-all it was a great first trip to the zoo. Next time we will try riding the train and next time we take Daddy to help chase Kalei. SMILE.
